Yavas Yavas - Gamats Gamats Summer School, Antakya, 9 - 18 August, 2005 The summer school was organized by Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly – Turkey, with the aim of contributing to confidence building between the youth of Turkey and Armenia by bringing 24 university students from the two countries together in a program that involves thematic lectures, workshops as well as a group-work component to provide the experience of joint work.
Summer School for Intercultural Dialogue and Understanding (SIDU): Moldova 2005 The SIDU organized by hCa France and hCa Moldova took place in Trans-Dniester on 15-19 August. The SIDU, which was titled "Identity, Nationalism and Conflict Resolution", covered a diverse range of topics including the political dilemmas and revolutions of the post-USSR republics, among which Moldovan politics was emphasized, the ecological problems triggered by nationalism, the African immigrants in Moldova and the rights of Roma people. In addition, four workshops were arranged in order to discuss (1) Enlarging the hCa network, (2) History as a source of conflicts in Europe, (3) Gender and conflicts, (4) Social forums and the alterglobalist movement.
